Running late but craving a real Colombian morning? This breakfast is your answer. Enjoy warm, cheesy pandebonos fresh from the oven, rich hot chocolate just like back home, and a refreshing mix of tropical fruit. It’s like a Sunday morning in Colombia—in just 25 minutes.
Directions:
- Bake the Pandebonos:
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Place frozen pandebonos on a baking sheet and bake for 22 minutes, or until puffed and golden. - Make the Hot Chocolate:
In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat. Add pieces of the chocolate bar and stir continuously until melted. Add sugar and cinnamon if desired. - Prepare the Fruit:
Peel and slice the banana, mango, and papaya (or pineapple). Arrange on a shared platter or individual bowls. - Serve and Enjoy:
Serve the warm pandebonos with a cup of thick Colombian hot chocolate and the fresh fruit on the side. Dip the pandebono in the chocolate—just like we do back home.
